NetFRAME Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:NETF), a leading supplier of continuous availability network servers, and Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS), a leader in multi-user Windows application server software, today announced that NetFRAME has joined Citrix's Industry Solutions Alliance, a growing coalition of industry vendors working to develop complementary products and markets for WinFrame multi-user application server software.

NetFRAME will provide corporations with large-scale, enterprise-class server hardware that can be used to host WinFrame application server software for deploying mission-critical Windows applications to remote users over enterprise networks, corporate Intranets or the Internet. NetFRAME plans to deliver its first fully-integrated WinFRAME server solution in early 1997.

The application deployment environment provided by NetFRAME and WinFrame will enable corporations to cost-effectively host mission-critical Windows applications on the second-generation NetFRAME NF9000 platform, thereby simplifying management of enterprise applications. WinFrame enables these applications to be accessed at LAN-like performance from a wide variety of client devices, including personal computers, thin-client network computers and Windows terminals, regardless of user location or bandwidth.
