February 19, 1997

A unique perspective on the growing network computer market will be shared at Internet Expo by Roy Graham, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Wyse Technology, a leading manufacturer of network computers. Graham will address the future of the network computer market to an audience of MIS directors, purchasing managers and end users during the Internet Expo, Web World & E-mail World Conference. Internet Expo will showcase this topic through a panel discussion chaired by Greg Blatnik of Zona Research, a leading analyst firm providing confidential consulting services to companies worldwide. The world's largest Internet, e-mail and Web conference, Internet Expo is being held at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.

"Based on rapidly increasing adoption of network computers by a variety of application environments such as banking, education and telecommunications, the future of network computers looks virtually unlimited," said Graham, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Wyse. "There is great appeal to a product capable of delivering the benefits of Windows, Java and Internet access at a fraction of the cost of a PC. Wyse is delivering that vision today."

Graham oversees and directs the development of Wyse's global business presence, and has more than 22 years of high-tech experience. Graham holds an honors degree in mathematical physics from Sussex University, England, and has extensive technical and marketing experience at Computer Technology and at Digital Equipment Corporation in both Europe and the United States. Prior to joining Wyse, Graham successfully established Tandem Computers, Inc. in the Microsoft NT server market.

Wyse, a key innovator and leader in the NC marketplace since its Winterm(TM) family of network computers (NCs) and thin clients were introduced in November 1995, has become pervasive in a multitude of environments due to its high-performance/low-cost ratio. The Winterm 2000 Series is recognized as the world's first $500 network computer which provides a simple, cost-effective method to deliver Microsoft Windows(R) applications to the desktop, while enabling users to access the Internet and emerging corporate intranets. Since the initial introduction Wyse has developed new generations of its Winterm line that conform to the diverse needs of various market segments, while surpassing the standards set by the NC Reference Profile. The adoption of Java as the operating system for Wyse's award-winning Winterm 4000 series of enhanced network computers (ENC)(TM) benefits users seeking high performance intranet/Internet access to Java and Windows applications. Additionally, the Winterm 4000 series of ENCs are ideal for deployment in mixed platform environments such as UNIX and NT.

With the Winterm line's optional integrated point-to-point protocol (PPP) serial, and modem connectivity, users have a direct link to a variety of corporate networks.

Wyse Technology is a world leader in thin-client/network computing and a leading supplier of advanced display technology. Wyse, which has sold nearly eight million thin-client devices since its founding in 1981, is also a leading manufacturer of high resolution desktop monitors.
