Microsoft and the freedom to lie, cheat, and steal!

June 18, 1999

Yes, suddenly everyone wants YOUR opinion. Is Microsoft our friend? Our enemy? Does Microsoft have the right to include a ham sandwich with Windows if Mr. Gates decides he wants to take over the sandwich business? Or, stated more accurately, does Microsoft have the right to include it's own version of YOUR product with Windows if Mr. Gates decides you have a great idea?

Please use the links below to access the proper forms.  And note that the government links will work with any browser, but the Microsoft link only works with IE (which helps ensure that they will only get positive responses).

CAPITOL COMMENT

The following is a copy of OUR comments.  If you are short of words you are welcome to use ours:

Bill Gates is laughing at government.  In his exact words, "nobody pays".  To him, government is just another toy to manipulate.  The really sad part of this is that children see this and aspire to emulate his "heroic" attitudes.

On top of that, it is absolutely ridiculous that such inferior products could ever gain such a level of prominence.  Imagine for a moment what life would be like if our nation's phone, electric, and television broadcast systems had been built to the same quality as Microsoft Windows!  Nobody would ever get anything done because about the time they got their phone rebooted, the electric system would crash!

Linux is the solution.  It is fast.  It is stable.  It is free.  It runs on every brand of hardware.  It is the only "candidate" that provides a suitable foundation for our digital future.

Please do whatever you can to encourage the strongest possible action against Microsoft's crooked tactics.

And, of course, you are always welcome to send us your opinions.  Just hit the "Feedback" button above!
