Connectix Corporation, the company that brought affordable digital imaging to the desktop with the QuickCam camera, today announced a strategic relationship with Network Computer Inc. (NCI), the innovator of the network computer market, to configure NCI's network computers with Connectix' digital imaging technology.

Connectix has sold over a half million QuickCams since it pioneered the tethered digital video camera segment in 1994 and continues to be a market leader in digital video hardware and software. NCI formally launched its network computer corporate software products this past April.

"This relationship represents an important initial step in incorporating Connectix' digital technology with that of the network computer," said Roy McDonald, Connectix' chief executive officer.

"The relationship between the two companies has established NCI as a Gold level member in the Connectix QuickCam Developer Program. The QuickCam is the digital still and video camera recommended by NCI and the only digital camera currently compatible with NCI's network computing software."
