Network Computer Incorporated, Europe, Middle East and Africa (NCI EMEA), an affiliate of Oracle Corp., today announced new European distributors signed up to offer the "Network-in-the-Box" solution. NCI's European distributors will deliver a complete, out-of-the-box network computer system, including hardware and software, for small workgroups, departmental and enterprise organisations.

Morse Group Limited (UK), Europe's largest open systems reseller and a leader in systems integration, will resell NCI's "Network-in-the-Box" product bundle in England and other Northern European countries.

Peacock AG (Germany), a leading reseller of Oracle Database, Components and the Peacock brand, will resell NCI's "Network-in-the-Box" product bundle in Germany and Central and East European countries.

NCS (Italy), a division of OPC Srl, a rapidly growing group specialising in reselling and supporting network computing solutions, will resell NCI's " Network- in-the-Box" product bundle in Italy and other southern European countries.

Network-in-the-Box

"Network-in-the-Box" requires a minimal amount of set up and installation. It consists of NCI's software and NCI hardware partners' products including:

One Intel Pentium based NC Server appliance and all software including the NC Software Suite for managing network computers, applications such as electronic mail and productivity software, and NC Desktop, the software for the network computer.

Two network computer devices based on the Intel microprocessor. Two NC Cards, a credit-card sized smart card that allows the user to privately access network- based information and services such as electronic mail, Internet applications, and electronic commerce; two administrator NC Cards will also be included for smart card administration. Network hardware including a 5-port hub and all cabling.
