In conjunction with the first anniversary of Gamelan: The Java(TM) Directory , EarthWeb, a leading developer of Java software and Sun Microsystems Inc. have entered into a strategic alliance.
As part of the alliance, JavaSoft has endorsed Gamelan as the only official resource directory for Java. EarthWeb and JavaSoft will collaborate on the further development of editorial content, promotion of Java and added information resources for the Java development community. The two companies also expect to link their Websites to provide enhanced information about Java. JavaSoft has been named as the exclusive top-level sponsor of Gamelan and will provide EarthWeb with a variety of broad support.
